People all over the world are worried about getting infected!   And rightly so.   Today (23 June 2020) there are over 9 million confirmed cases in our world of people infected with the COVID-19 virus.   Almost a half million people have died.   A second wave of new cases has been identified in parts of Australia.   To help keep people safe the Australian government has encouraged people to get the COVIDSafe APP, a tool to help stop the...

Over 2 million men in Australia are colour blind!   People who are colourblind usually have difficulty with the colours green, yellow, orange and red.  The area rug (as seen here) my wife Jeannie recently picked for our lounge area cannot really be appreciated by someone who is colour blind.   It was a bit of a stretch for someone like me, who usually sticks with browns, beiges, and greys.  But the colours sure brighten the room! How do you measure success?   How do you know whether or not you have healthy church growth?   I have wondered about these questions for years, and especially during the current COVID-19 pandemic.    For example, in my doctoral studies I explored the topic: "Preaching for Success".   How do you know whether or not you are accomplishing your goals in preaching?   And what goals/results should you be looking at?   The same is with growing healthy churches.  How...

Organic Outreach

Most churches would agree that evangelism is a priority. The CRCA declares that reaching the lost is central to its calling as a church: we are a church reforming to reach the lost for Christ. But so few churches and Christians are bearing fruit. In fact, most churches are either maintaining the status quo or are in decline.

Shift

Shift is all about movement – with the help of one another and the power of God to reach our broken places and move ever closer to living a life worthy of our callings as churches and leaders. Leadership development begins with acknowledging and trusting the process and the people God uses to grow us.
