The first of six steps in raising up gospel workers is praying.   In the attached document you will find prayer points that you (churches) can use to enable meaningful prayer for the CRCA “Raising Up Gospel Workers” strategy. There are eight (8) specific prayer points and then a list of the twelve (12) CRCA churches looking for a pastor.  The ninth prayer point can be used for each of the twelve (12) churches.

How to use these prayer points:

Share one of the eight (8) prayer points each week in your church newsletter and with those who are leading congregational prayers.   Share also the name of one of the individual churches and the accompanying prayer point.   This would give you two months (or eight weeks) of prayer points.   Once this is one, simply repeat.

Jesus taught us to "ask the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest field." (Matthew 9:38)   God's will for us in Christ Jesus is to "pray continually!" (1 Thessalonians 5:17)   May we pray expectantly that God will raise up thousands of gospel workers in and through our churches, men, women, and children all passionate about serving Christ and reaching the lost for Christ.   Out of these thousands of people, may we reach our target of raising up 40 men to serve our churches and church plants as ordained ministers of the Word.

The link to the prayer points is below.  Choose either the PDF or WORD formats.

Most churches would agree that evangelism is a priority. The CRCA declares that reaching the lost is central to its calling as a church: we are a church reforming to reach the lost for Christ. But so few churches and Christians are bearing fruit. In fact, most churches are either maintaining the status quo or are in decline.
